    Default Engine cover

    Engine cover

Better on or off? I was told today that it helps cool the whole engine bay when its off, is this true? I always thought it was there to help transfer the heat away from were it shouldn’t be.

    Cheers

Ive heard that the engine does cool down faster with the engine ecotec cover off but when u have it off there is more engine noise as the covor acts like an insulation for the noise and in my opinion the motor looks shithouse without the ecotec cover unless the plenum cover is polished.

I keep it on cause it looks ugly without it. I have heard that it is cooler without them but I've also heard that there is not a great difference in temperature with or without. I supposed the only way to know is to measure the temperature with it on then off.

I think they do look crap off as well. But I think I will leave it off for a bit see if it makes a difference.

    Cheers
