VX - Horn, wipers, boot opens when ac turned on

Hi All,

Just need some help, we have a VX Acclaim that came back to us after having the starter motor replaced, now when you turn the AC on, the boot opens, the wipers turn on, the alarm activates and the horn goes off ???

any ideas what could have happend ? they also replaced one of the thermo fans too as it was over heating

oo did they plug the thermos into the wrong plug? just go back from the wiring they have touched
or even better take it back

Sound like you have a short somewhere, I would be taking the car back as soon as posiible

thanks guys, thats what i am thinking, they have plugged in the wrong things and stuffed up

we took it back, but they said it wasnt thier issue,

holden are going to have a look at it next week, but it really shouldnt have to come to that

sounds like the BCM has been fried

of threaten them with legal action ring up consumer affairs and ask for advice

if it worked fine when u took it there and its dosn't st after u got it back they did something wrong! especially after playing with the electrics they must have had the battery connected when doing work and fried something just go nuts at them . get in touch with the manager or ring the head office if it is a chain of mechanics like pitstop or midus etc
