Hey yall dose anyone have a problem with there windows ratteling in the VT or other modles , is there anyway to fix this problem it is sending me crazy
My VU ute window rattles when its half way down, tried fixing it but its still there its annoying

I replaced the plastic runners in mine and it helped a lot. The both were worn and they slop around in the tracks when the window was down . They only cost a couple of bucks each . ( 2 per window ) The guy at the parts desk said it was a prick of a job as you have to drill out the rivets to pull it all apart then get the plastic runners pressed in then rivet it back in . I found it easier to pry out the old plastic runner then grease up the new one , slide it on then use a small G clamp to pop it in place . Takes about half an hour for each window from start to finish

Mne makes a horrible grinding/ squeak noise when it gets near the top (Drivers only) Sounds horrible then creaks for a little bit after.
Anyone else got this, or a solution?
try some silicone spray on the rubber seal that the window runs up and down in. just a light spray.

mine does that too.. half way up it makes this really loud click/clunk noise n actually moves inwards haha.. but it only happens every now and then, and only drivers side, but when its down, no matter how little, any bumps/the radio make it rattle.. im sorta just used to it now
My passanger side window has just started to do it too . I pulled off the interior door panel and found that the winder mechanism had popped out of the white plastic clip . I just snapped it back on and the noise is gone but i did notice that the plastic clip was worn so it will need to be replaced but for now no more noise

my one stops about 3 inches from the top after making a hell of a racket, i took the door panel off but cant see into the inside to see where the mechanism is , any ideas what i can do to fix this photos would be good , there was a pictorial posted yesterday for a vz but it didnt show the internals
do you have scratches on the window when the squeek/grinding noise goes on??? could be the rubbers

Nope no scratches on the glass :S
Drivers door has shutup since i had the trim off and now the passenger side has started (had that trim off as well ... *sigh*)
