Just had a reco motor put in, do i have to go to the RTA with the new engine number?

Best to go get it updated with their records.

Though its not important until you go for a roadworthy.
Keep the reciept also in the car if you choose not to let the RTA know streight away as the cops can and will drill you over a stolen motor without a reciept.

Even if it's a stolen motor and you have receipts expect to have the engine removed at ur cost so i hope u know the history of the motor.

It's a reconditioned motor i bought and had fitted from a company here in Melbourne.
