    Default VX radiator fan problem?

    Hey guys,

I have a VX and none of the two fans on the radiator switch on when I start the engine. Doesn't matter if I have the air con on or off.

My mate has a VX and the passenger side fan always starts up when he starts the engine.

Is there something up with mine and if so how can i test it??

check the fuses and relays first.
the fan should only kick in when the thermostat is at a certain temp.
on my SS, the fans kick in at 98c and drop back to 91c before they stop.
however, if i turn the aircon on, even from cold, they both come on and dont stop.

Lol....so is it my mate with the problem? That none of the fans should switch on untl the engine gets too hot. My temp guage doesn't even make it to halfway while driving...so it's not like I have an overheating prob...

That's right, unless he has the A/C on.
In your case, have you checked to see that the fans are plugged in properly to the loom?
