just a quick question can you change the steering rack boots without taking off the steering ties, thanks in advance
You will need to remove the tie rod ends. It's not very difficult to do yourself.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
Yeah the tie rod ends have to come off in order to slide the new boots on, count the number of turns it takes when taking it off, so when you re-assemble you can get the alignment pretty close by putting it back on the same amount of turns. But get a wheel alignment done ASAP.
thanx guys is there a special tool required to remove the tie rod end?
changed mine sometime last year and added these heat shields on them
