    Default radiator support

i'm just wondering if i can get away with putting one in my self or if its definatly a panel beters job. my missus crashed my vx ss and it now needs only that for a blue slip? welding isn't a problem but i judt dont know if it is worth going to a panel shop

when metal bends, it pulls other metal with it so its usually never as simple as welding a new radiator support panel in without having to straighten other sections as well.

Why does it need a blue slip as well?
    is it out of rego?

yeah i lost mi licence about a year ago and if the car had no rego it was less tempting to drive. i just hit a rock and bent it abit but it ripped of on one side, and being an ex chaser i'm prity sure it has been front ended before, got a quote for $1000 including part to put a new one on

post some pics up of the damage.
so its the lower rad support then?
is the reo bent or the condensor, radiator, k frame etc.
dont understand what you meant by ripped it off one side either - pics would help.
i take it you need a new bumper bar and possibly reo as well?

to be honest, without seeing the damage, $1000 isnt too bad considering youll know it will be pulled correctly.

Just realised too, you have the same car as mine.
    whats your location?

a Genuine VX SS bar is a tad under $300 too.
