Hi Guys,
Am looking at aftermarket power windows for my dunnydoor. Anyone know a good supplier of a kit? Or has anyone fitted a kit?...
Have trawled all over ebay for holden bits but now thinking aftermarket may be the way to go.
Cheers

a dunnydoor?
You will need quite a few bits including door trims, motors and switches. You're better off finding someone with a car that has power windows wrecking and buy all the bits off them.
i got after market front regulator and the rear from the wreckers, with the door looms, and u need the bcm all up 400 cost me,
heres a link for ya.
HOLDEN VT VX COMMODORE ELECTRIC WINDOW REGULATOR X 4 - eBay Window Cranks, Parts, Interior, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 26-Feb-09 22:50:32 AEDST)
go to holden and order new regulators and then go to wreckers for looms and switches... aftermarket is shit get genuine parts
by the looks of it the front regs are the same as vn to vs ones , just look around i just picked up 2 front regs, 2 back regs, 3 door looms , set of central locking mechs, four steel door handles and the front window switches for 50 dollars all working
Don't understand why you would go aftermarket when you can get genuine second hand stuff quite cheap.
OKay, found a guy on ebay (the link that Archers suggested) reckon he can do a conversion kit for $550, He also reckons most of the time you dont need to change the BCM but if there is a problem holden can FLASH you existing BCM to run the windows???
I also dont want to bother changing the door cards. So ill run the windows from the center consol and cover the holes with a holden badge or something. Old mate from ebay reckons a lot of people do this.
Comments?

I got genuine regulators, door looms and main switch of ebay for under $200. You just need to be patient and wait for a bargain. I have door looms to suit a VX for sale should you need them.
You will need to connect the rear door switches because the rear windows won't work from the main switch without them connected. But there is probably a way around that.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
okay, back to sifting through ebay then. Mite try some local wrecking yards.
