how to water pump

anybody out there know the steps involved in changing the water pump on my vt? couldnt find a how to thread???

before u take off the belt, crack the bolts on the pump pulley.
take off belt
remove pully on pump
undo the retaining bolts
lever it off with a screw driver but be careful
scrape the surface area with a razor blade till clean
put on gasket
then reversal

be mindful it may be handy to drain the radiator and to use a light layer of gasket goo on each side of the gasket

Its says for vn vp vr but ecotecs are almost identicle they use the same water pump

sure you know but just make sure you get all the old gasket bits left behind. best way is to get a razor blade, some carby cleanert and rag and some emery paper

dont forget to make a mudmap of where the drive belt goes , just to make your job easier when you finishing up
