Yo,Looking at getting an vt. What mileage would be considered too high, also what problems come up as K,s get up and any particule things to look out for.
I would be interested in knowing too as i have a 98 VT Berlina with 210,000 kms on the clock and i want to know if that is a bit high and what things i should be looking out for.

If you want a really good VT, have a look at this one you will not find one in better nick.

if people have high Ks, engine may need repairing, the car may also have been thrashed and driven badly....
higher the Ks, lower the price...vice versa
me personally, i wouldnt even look at a car with over 200,000ks on the clock, BUT, thats just me...
tesltra car as in, their company car?
could mean it was used alot and possibly not looked after....but if it feels great then shouldnt worry too much

Yeah it was a Telstra company car. I have heard something about automatic headlights that Telstra used. Don't know what it is though. I know the headlights automatically turn off when you turn the ignition off and open the door though. Don't know what the story is though.

my vt only has 135k on the clock.. but if the car is well looked after and serviced regularly the 3.8 motor last FOREVER like seriously my mate had one done around 400k didnt miss a beat... i think average mileage when buying is around 180-200k second hand mark anyway
If All Else Fails, Then You're Probably Driving A Ford
I can turn mine off though, but i think they come on when it gets dark.
