is this the abs module going kaput?

After driving my vt for awhile when you stop at lights etc the oil light comes on and the damn melody plays. Took it to holden and they diagnosed it as the abs module. I thought when the abs module went all the warning light came on? Any ideas?

check your error codes, if something like low speed fan, theft deterrant signal and ABS fault come up.... replace your abs module.

but dont get taken for a ride which my local auto elec TRIED to do and said i had to replace everything ABS sensors/module/full brake flush ect. im sure its a good idea but not necessary :P
