That made no sense at all...are you trying to say you could start your car with both keys, but you couldn't open the doors with the same keys except using the remote? Have you tried locking the doors with the keys?

Sounds like the battery in your car remote that is inside your key is near the end of its life. This is normal if you use the remote often. Try replacing the battery in your key. There are several centres including Holden itself who can help you there.

I heard that if you open the case of the key it destroys it. Must be wrong. Is it cheap to replace at Holden or is it better to go somewhere else. My battery is getting a bit flat.

Yes it does destroy the key a little if you're not careful. The plastic case are glued together. You might as well go to a place that does car keys or Holden themselves. At least you'll get your key back looking like new.

There are previous posts that tells you how to do it if you're keen on doing it yourself. Have a search in the forums.
