Default Short Shift in V6?

Just wanted to know if it is possible to get a short shifter to fit the VX V6 commo. I drove a 99 sti around for a couple of weeks and the shifter in that is excellent - there is no comparison between the two. However there has to be something available to "tighten" the loose 5 speed in the commodore???

You can get the short shifter from " GM motorsport " in Melton Victoria
the phone number is 0418 562 057
Or from JHP . Their web site is www.jhp.com.au they sell for around $195.00
These two companies advertise in Street Commodore magazine
Hope this is of some help

Default Short Shifter

Hey dude,

I was toying with the idea myself. I rang Malwood autos, www.malwoodauto.com.au, about it, they make em for heaps of different models. The guy i spoke to said that they are no good for the type of box thats in the car. Give them a call to find out why, cant explain it properly myself. But if you manage to find one thats good, let us know!!!
