Howdy All,
Am new to the forums, so will start off with an easy one.
My VT SS has an aftermarket pioneer stereo (put in before i purchased it), and does not have audio controls on the steering wheel. Therefore i wish to do two thing.
1) Purcahse a later model factory eurovox stereo with CD player (i have the original one in my garage without cd player), and fit that into the original harness in the car.
2) Purchase a holden steering wheel with audio controls on it.
Im pretty sure i have the procedure sorted, but want some confirmation / advice from some of you lads. From what I can see, I would firstly disconnect the battery, then remove the steering wheel (as per some instructions i found
here. I am aware this may change slightly due to it being a different mode, vehicle. Once the wheel is off, I will need to find out if i have to run wires for the volume control etc (can anyone shed some light on this?). I then simply install my newly purcahsed wheel with volume controls, followed with the installation of my factory stereo.
How does that sound???
A few followup questions...
1) Does anyone have a factory holden wheel with steering controls on it they would be prepared to sell to me?
2) Does anyone have a factory holden eurovox stereo (must have CD, arial up and down controls and steering volume control capability) they would like to sell to me?
3) Does anyone want to purcahse a factory holden stereo???. (tape version out of the VT SS)
4) Does anyone want to purchase a standard holden VT SS Steering wheel with no volume controls?
5) Does anyone want to purchase a Pioneer DEH-P2050 car stereo. ?
Looking forward to any input anyone has.
Cheers
Dave
