ignition switch

Hello all > I have just changed my ignition switch witch now works fine BUT now the steering lock does not engage after i have switched of the engine so when i remove the key no click and when i go to start up i have to jiggle the key to get it in the barrel and make it pop out! this problem was not ther until i changed the switch i cant see how i did something wrong instalin the switch can this be a computer fault or is the barrel gone to s h i t on the first start ?

It's not a computer fault but probably a barrel fault. It is common for pieces to break off inside the barrel and then cause it to jam, if the piece that breaks lands in the right spot. Maybe a piece had already broken in yours but wasn't a problem until you took it out and it moved. I would take the barrel out and look for broken pieces.

Thanks for the reply but i did not take the barrel out just changed the switch while the barrel stayed in

ITS ALL GOOD NOW PLL i sprayed some graphite powder in the barrel whalla fixed
