supercharged ss

has anyone heard much bad news or dealt with the ss supercharged?
obviously it not being a v8 is a let down? but are they exactly the same engine wise as the other supercharged models?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

They are the same as any other VT onwards supercharged except for the XU6 which came with HSV headers.
