My car was idling at 2000 rpm so thinking i needed a new I.A.C switch went a got one at holden,fitting it to the car i notice that it was different to mine ,told them he said the VT and VX were the same mine was a little bigger than the new one.So i fitted it and there was no differance.I changed my end bit with the other one and it work but every now and then it will rev high.Checked for codes have non changed the T.P.S and still the same ,just want to know if anyone has had the same problem and any idears on what it could be thanks..

could it be an air leak ? or kinda sounds like the cold start setting. maybe one of your temp sensors is faulty and telling the ecu that your engine is very cold. check the connections to all the sensors you can find.

Might be stating the obvious, but having overlooked the obvious so often myself, have you checked that the throttle isn't sticking?
