Hi.
I'm looking at buying myself a 1997 V6 3.8L Auto VT Executive. It's logged roughly 170,000kms and looks well looked after. (from the pictures of the exterior anyhow) However, the current owner says the fuel gauge doesn't work and he reckons an auto electrician priced it as a $50 fix. I'm assuming that isn't true and this is more likely a common problem in this make of car?
Any info would be much appreciated.
Cheers.
if it reads inaccurate i charge 70 to calibrate sender
if it doesnt read at all i charge 95 to repair the dash

so all in all you don't think it should be more than $100 to fix the problem?
if anyone can let me know some common faults and average cost to fix for this model car would be great too.
thanks alo.
