Hi all/ Couple of months ago my a/c went did not get around until now to fix it just a couple of rings12$ and a regas 70$ the thing is it worked ok for about a week but now just warm air ?pressure test is all good no leaks any were clutch goes on when switched on but still warm air i am thinkin it could be the dryer receiver any ideas would be a great help
cheers
receiver/drier wouldve been done with the regas unless it was a dodgy job...
sounds like its low on gas to me, start the car n run the a/c under the bonnet grab the 2 aircon pipes running into the cabin.. one will be pretty hot other will be fairly cold if its working at all
do you know what the running pressures were?
you must have a leak somewhere in the system get them to put an a/c dye into the system
well reciever/dryer should be done with new refrigerant every time.. its a pretty important part
chances are thats half the problem
yes said by all the ppl who sell them i.e holden they also want to flush your injectors every 10.000km they told me thats very inportant too AS if .but iv had close to 15 cars in my life most of them holdens iv never once had to change rec/drier on a regas but ther is all ways a first thanks for your input
im a qualified aircon tech mate.. got the licence
you need to do the receiver/dryer when regassed.. when opened for more than 10minutes theyre stuffed
like i said thanks for your your input mate but it was not opened for more than 5 min and how come i can get away with changing a compressor on a vs have it off while i search the wreckers for a replacement find one and it still works fine with the same rec/drier?got me stuffed if you are right
i wasnt havin a go just saying lol
all im saying is (whether yours has worked before without doing it or not) to do it properly you have to replace it.. its like changing your oil and not the filter
ya just dont do it.. will still work but eventualy itll all catch up
its there to take the moisture out of the refrigerant obviously for a reason if its there to start with
hey harvz-6, good to see another fridgy on here!![]()
haha all the fridgeys pop out of the woodwork on a/c threads+1 more

have u put your head under dash and make sure hot/cold flap isnt stuck or vacuum operated flap failure. Recheck your pressures probably got a blockage in the tx or f/o. good luck
