painting black strip help...

hi all
im thinking about painting the black strips that run down the side of my vx. i want to paint them while still on the car. what type of paint should i use? will touch up paint in the can be ok? how do i go about the whole job? any advice or opinions wud be sweet.

I can't really help with the type of paint, but if you're doing it on the car make sure you mask it off REALLY well...especially if you're using spray, make sure you extend the mask with paper or plastic well beyond the strips.

Like said above, make sure you do a good masking job. First you'll need plastic primer so the paint will stick to the rubber. Also you may need flexaid but unlikely as the molding is quite stiff and doesn't move around much. Then just some acrylic clear to make it shiny.
