    Default cam Q?

    hey guys im just wondering how big you can go on a cam for an ls1 before you have to change the valve springs?

    valve springs are reconmended for any size cam.
    if your gona fork out cash for a cam y not do the springs aswell for acouple of hundred extra.

    are ok lol well i was gonna get a cam and v-spring pack an be done with it then a mate said ya dont need to do the springs so i thought id look into it..

    Standard ls1 valve springs are crap. They are very prone to failure, even with the stock cam.

    LS1 stock springs float in high revs and lose you power. Changing valve springs is recomended even if u dont change the cam.
