air intake flap on heater, leaves/dirt clean out?

Can anyone tell me where the air intake flap on the heater is? (other posts talk about putting a vacuum cleaner down it to suck out leaves). My vents blow air poorly and I am trying to unclog the system...anyone got a list of places to check?

i think where your wipers are ,you pull off grills, and clean that , a
mate came around this arvo with a ford and pulled of the grills and you woulds not belive the s*** in there had to be 5-6 hand fulls at least also look down the bottom and check out the threads there

thanks mate, I looked there but figured there was a wire mesh over it and that not many leaves would get down there, did your mate have a screen on his? I will check again, maybe put a vacuum down it!

yer pull off that grill/screen ,yer he got the vack out and cleaned it up im going the check mine later

conclusion: dirt/hair/debris was clogging evap, a little bit of a washout made the air flow a little better, still trying to think of a way to really clean it out without taking the whole dash out
