Hey Guys,
Im trying to sus out if i can run 18" hsv rims on my vt. Being a Melbournian I am inclined to follow the Vic Roads rules regarding wheel modifications which are outlined in this file in section 8:
http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/NR/rd...340/0/VSI8.pdf
If not Ill have to get an engineer certificate.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers

I see nothing in those guidelines to say you can't use those wheels. For each section it states the rule is for that 'model or VEHICLE SERIES.
So therefore the VT SS ran 17" x 8" rims, meaning you can go to a maximum of 9" wide rims. Overall diameter won't change because the profile is matched to ensure this.
That lady has her wires crossed.
Exactly my point Kart_rider. Hence why i said it was a rubbish phone call! I think my best bet is just to call up again and hope another twat doesnt answer the phone.
