Hey guys, just a quick question. i have a 2001 vx s pack series 1. and it has 19" rims... just wondering if that is legal? apprently the calais model has 17" standard? not quite sure though... so does that make it legal for my car to have 19" rims?
i dont no about sydney, but some states allow 2" increase in size and 1" increase in width, ive been told that
Vortech V1 supercharger : 10psi : Intercooled : 3.89 Mini-spool : VT Big Brake conversion : Shift kitted auto : B&M Shifter
My VS CLUBBY!
237.2RWKW - 318.1HP - 926.4 NM
Yer same as sydney allowed 2in larger then standard, but was just wondering wether 19" in legal or not?
open your drivers side front door. there is a placard in the end of the door. It will have all different size of tyres and rims that come with the car. for example 205/55/R15 etc etc. if it says in any of those combinations R17 then thats the biggest rim it came with from factory so u can go 2 inch bigger, if that is the rule in your state.
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone
Im facing a similair issue mate!
Relating to quote above....See this is where im lost! This is a screen print of what the Vic roads site says.
Now by vechile series do they mean VT executive series 1 and 2 or VT executive all the way up to calais or even SS (HSV so unlikely). Im not sure how it applies for me with a wagon! So I think from now on unless your a Victorian and know what your talking about please dont add shit to confuse us more.

What about on a VT? I was under the impression that i can get a maximum of 17" rims because my VT Berlina came stock with 15". Want to get VZ Calais rims and thought I can only get 17", but i would rather have 18".

Just be careful with the above info because different states have different rules and different members of each authority like to interpret the rules differently.
