    Default Mid BCM Replacement

Hi all, been sifting through the threads but couldn't come up with a specific answer so, I have an issue with my keyhead where it is cactus. I have been to mr minute to get a newie but they can't read it, now i thought just buy a s/h bcm with the keyhead, stick the the key in the keyhead install the bcm and bingo, i can get bcm's on ebay for $50 so cheaper than a new keyhead.

My question, i have a MID BCM part 92058, i see one on eBay same number and a MID obviously so direct swap right? No problem?

Another question, also on eBay another MID BCM but out of a VX 02 model and a different number 92109. It's much cheaper but i have a 98 VT, will it work? Are all MID BCM's the same just different numbers in differnt models?

    Thanks in advance, Daz.

You will need to have the new BCM linked to the ECU, which means a trip to Holden or someone with a Tech 2. Without getting it linked, the car won't start. It's a security thing. Apart from that, the one with the same part number will be a direct swap. I don't know about the VX one, could be different.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

It's gotta be the same part number to work properly.

Here is a list of VT/VX/VY/WH BCM numbers (i had to split it into four pieces so i could post it on this forum):
