do you mean the Berlina/Calais chrome inserts that go in here (i.e. between the red lines in my pic, i removed mine)?

If you got second hand ones, you'd need to remove all the old double sided tape of the back of the inserts, then apply new tape. You then just stick them back into the grooves in the bumper (make sure you clean the grooves with wax & grease remover etc so the double sided tape sticks).

If you got new inserts it's even easier, except you need to carefully cut the ends (a large pair of sharp scissors works well) so they are curved at each end. Unless your bars are the early VT type where all you do is slide the chrome strips into the opening in the bar (just like with VR/VS bars).

Only the ends slide in, and only IF there are holes at each end of the groove in the bumper (i.e. between the indicators and the tyres). Yours may have no holes, the groove terminates and the plastic sort of curves upwards to the top (not just squared off). I don't know if that makes sense. I haven't got access to my car for the rest of this week so i can't take pics for you now to explain it better.

The chrome strip sticks to the bumper along it's whole length - when fitting you press it in hard with your fingers so the tape "grabs" etc.

If your chrome inserts are new they should have double sided tape already.

But if not, you can get double sided tape from any auto parts store (supercheap/autobarn/repco/autopro, etc) and some auto detailing shops. 3M brand is best and not too thick. Buy a roll of about 6 metres but perhaps 10 or more if you can get it so you have some spare. The tape should be 10mm wide or just a little less (maybe 8mm or 9mm would do) as your new chrome strips should be 10mm wide.
