Modified gate transmission control

hey i read something about ex cop vt-vx had this MODIFIED GATE TRANSMISSION CONTROL. anyone know anything about it?

You can drop it to second without pressing the shifter button down.Just slam it back.

you just file the tabs off
if you pull the shifter out you will see what i mean

yep, you can change from first to second (or opposite) without having to push the button down.

i have a vt s and can change it without pressing the button.. is that coz its an s pack or do i have a bt1 that would be cool

youd know if you had a Police pack and it isnt an option on any other model.
more likely your gates have worn out (which make YOUR car unroadworthy as it is not an option for anything other than a BT1)

correct me if im wrong, but are the gates the indents in the plastic that the metal pin sits on when shifting from each gear? because when i changed my shifter button over that was replaced with a brand new one...
