from what i remember execs and SS share similar VINs. best to call holden, or just post some pictures up here and we can tell you right away.

hmm thats a clubsport kit. not sure if power windows were factory standard or not
    edit -

does your build plate say FE2 for suspension?

    Standard Equipment:

V8, ABS, IRS, FE2 sports suspension, air conditioning, cruise control (auto only on Series I), Driver's airbag, 17 inch alloy wheels, Passenger's Airbag.

Series II: adds four power windows, and four channel traction control on automatic (with auto 'on' and manual switch off).

Check behind the front bar for fog light wiring. If they're there (they would have been unplugged when the bar was changed) its an SS, if not, Exec.

    I'm thinking its an exec

Given the door trims I'd say it is a V8 Executive. I doubt that Holden would have used material that tacky looking on an SS (no offence).

Since when have door trims not been changeable?

    Same as the SS. 179(fw)

    VT stock: 179
    VT HSV: 195
    VT Stroker: 220

All VT Holden V8s were rollers & sequential EFI - even the base model 179kw stocker.

Exec, berlina, SS, Calais, all the same motor unless optioned with the stroker (unless that was only a HSV option, not sure)

Not sure what it works out to, but it wouldn't be any more than 140rwkw for a completely stock auto.

What does the badge on the dash say?

If it just says commodore then its an executive.

The interior is a big give away though. What roof light has it got in it? If it hasnt got reading lights then its an executive

Check the log books history and it will have more than enough info!
