VU/VX SS front

Hi all, does anyone have or know where i can get myself a SS front bar for my VU ute (sting red). And if it is not the right colour how much would it cost to be sprayed?

Try a wreckers? you could always get one from holden but you'd be paying top dollar for it, not sure how much it'd cost, but its a few hundred new (i think for my calais a new front bar is just over 500 or so).

I dont know what ebay/trading post is like for stuff like that, but theres heaps of people that opt for the monaro/hsv front bar so theyd be looking to get rid of the SS one so try that out maybe?

to get it painted could be up to 200 to 300 im guessing

yea thanks mate. i might contact a few wreckers at some stage n see what theyv got. ive looked at ebay but in most cases they dont post and i live in a very isolated region lol.

the trouble with buying any prepainted bumper is that the paint will crack when you move the bumper around.
i dont care how well its painted, it will crack as soon as you flex it more than it would on a car.

you can buy either new gen or new non gen on Ebay.
i can speak for the new gen as i have bought one myself.
i cant however speak for the non gen but ive heard most non gen parts are pretty close - close enough to be good enough.

they dont have a new gen listed, but they should have them as this is the place i bought mine from (good people).
new gen was $295.

as with anything moulded, it will need the dags trimmed before painting - gen and non gen.
