ended up getting a Redback 2.5 twin put on today and am more than happy with the results!
sounds like a V8 should, doesnt drone or intrude at 100kmh but gives off a nice growl - enough to attract the wrong attention if im not paying attention.

if you want noise, dont overlook diflippo, was in a vz with full system, extractors and cats, sounded awesome

thanks, still need to go the extractor and new cats route but that can be later on down the track.
sound is great - sweet spot is 1500rpm in every gear but is only a slight hum in 6th gear.
sure does turn heads!
