Very easy to do yourself, like changing a spark plug, nothing extra needs to be done. It might be easier to remove them when warm.

A question, my car is idling like a dog, when i stop too long it does what can best be described as a shudder then occasionally the little engine light (bottom left corner, kinda looks like a state) comes on.

Could this be it or something else?

When that light comes on the computer registers a fault code, the best thing to do is read these codes and the answer to your problem might be there. Search for how to read fault (or error) codes.

To me it sounds more like the purge hose is either cracked and leaking or has come off. It is a small black hose on the bottom of the throttle body, check that.

Screwed into each exhaust pipe just below the manifold. I replaced mine a few weeks ago and they cost me $105 for the pair. Delphi brand, made in USA.
