diff gears, install?

hey guys,
wondering if install of diff gears is very complicated?
managed to do my own catshhaha would it be within a fairly noob home mechanics grasp?
got a vx ss with 3.45's looking for a set of 3.91s for a bit more kick low down

no its a bit more involved than istalling cats if you got an automotive mind and the rights tools it not hard but more than your average noob mechanic could do

theres quite a few things that need to be adjusted when changing the gears like pinion depth and preload, adjusting backlash. have a look at this link, its not a commodore or irs but gives you an idea in whats involved

pay someone to do it, thats why i didn't install mine....

cats are damn easy, but doing diff gears would be a ball breaker to anyone that doesn't know exactly how....

yeah installed an lsd centre in my diff with the standard gears but if i change the gears i will pay someone to do it
