    Default Central Locking problem (Solved)

A difficult one. I cant open the drivers door. You can hear the solenoid clicking but the mechanism does not operate. I cant remove the trim because I cant open the door. Anyone any thoughts on how i open the door. The interior handle and knob dont do anything.
The missus is getting sick of clambering over from the passengers side.

Sounds like it has been deadlocked, Have you tried unlocking it using the key?

The key does not work either, some rod or other appears to have fallen off.

does the locking knob go up and down? or is it seized?

Im not sure how you can remove the door trim with the door closed, but you can remove the handle, get access to the rods?

I'll try removing the handle and see what is going on.

The locking knob was seized. I brute forced it up and was able to unlock the door. The red button had fallen apart and jammed the button in the down position.

lift drivers door handle (outside) , on the left under the handle you will notice a small slot

if you stick a thin (but lengthy) screw driver in that slot,

this will activate the central locking
