2 large clunks

ive been told by a mechanic that its a pretty simple job, and a pretty cheap plastic part, but with the drivers door, when you open or close it, there are two enourmous clunks and hard points in the mechanism
does anyone know what he`d be refering to, what it is, and if theres a how to out there somewhere ?
because its getting bloody annoying

it's the check strap, remove the door trim and then replace the 2 10mm bolts which have either fallen out or are lodged in sideways, mine just did it, easy job
