Default 3 Window cluster swapover - Can it be done?

Howdy All,

My VT SS has a single window style guage cluster in it, and i want to swap t over to the 3 window style. I have come out of a 94 VR Caprice which has fuel avg usage and so forth, and would like to see the same in the VT.

Can someone tell me if this is doable, and / or what modifications would need to be done to do so?.

I dont know if the loom will fit straight in or not??

Thanks for any advice.

Dave

Yeh it's just the little handheld thing they plug into the port under your steering wheel to do stuff on your car's computer..

I think you can buy them, pretty expensive though, and they charge a fortune when you need anything done with them.

Yeah thats what i was hoping it would be.

My mate owns a service station and has just recently purchased one. So hopefully ill be able to get him to do it!. If hes learnt how to drive it yet!.

Also, one other fellow was mentioning to me that i may need a BCM relacement to be able to do this dash modification. Can anyone elighten me as to what a BCM is and why i would need to replace it?

Cheers

Body Control Module
if the cluster you have has the PRNDL display on it it will not work without the correct serial data stream from the BCM
btw tech2 is $8000!
