vx commodore starting problem

after using carb cleaner on throttle body engine want start .
first thought maybe coz my battery is old , changed it for new one, same thing.
any ideas what could cause the problem?

Just had the same trouble with mine, would take 50 or so attempts before it actually started, even flattened the battery once. Turned out to be the ignition key. The battery in the key was going flat & would not disarm the immobilizer.
Try your spare or get a new 1 cut.
