    Default l67 charger differences

Okay so iv got a vt super6...

soon ill be looking for a new charger...

to the point iv been told that the newer versions of the l67 had a watercooled charger..

for instance on the vt's theres water jackets leading to the charger... but are blocked off on the charger?

any one know more about this all??

    cheers

HARVZ-6, they dont get that hot if you have good coolant! Mind you, i still wouldn't go touching it after it's been running! But still not as hot as if you didn't have enough coolant, or leaking coolant

I mean the charger itself baha

motor sits on 83degrees all day =D

coolant wont change how hot the charger is seeing as theres no coolant running through it!

No need to upgrade the M90 mate. There are a bunch of affordable mods to do to it that will vastly increase it's efficiency (read lower heat output) and still make it a little torque monster.

IMO if you're doing away with the M90 it would be better to go turbo. M90 has mean bottom end and where it runs out the GT35/40R kicks in

im not worried about it... i just know that the water gallerys are blocked off..

since im replacing the charger soon because its nearly f**ked wanted to know if there is a new version where these gallerys are open

despite turbo being a wanted option.. to expensive on 1st year apprentice rates lol

it already costs me 100bucks a week in fuel as is

Those water passages in the lower inlet manifold are for feeding water up and through the throttle body adapter on US versions.
They can't be used on the Aussie version beacause of the bend passing over the holes where as in the US versions they feed up around the inlet to the SC.

You say your charger is dying? This is very very rare even on high boost set ups. What's the symptoms?

Did you kill your rotors by disconecting the boost activater and running constant boost?

seeing as the charger has done 297000thousand ks lmao

the linish on the rotors has worn off.. causing them to knock together so the charger "rattles".. i know the linish is gone because i rebuilt it with new bearings 30thousand ks ago..

symptoms are- rattles, down at 8psi tops on a cold night 7 normal.. running a 10psi pully on yellaterra snout.. when you snap the throttle open it only hits 4-5psi at first and slowly increases with rev.. only way i get 7-8psi is if i hold it out to nearly the limiter in 2nd etc
