V6 to GEN3 conversion

Hi there, was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a smashed plain stock VT with a GEN 3 engine series 2(ex-cop car). My friend has a VT Acclaim V6 series 1.

Will the GEN 3 engine wiring harness plug straight in? Or will I have to swap dashes including the whole wiring harness thats under the dash? I noticed that there a 3 plugs up near the fire wall on the drivers side in engine bay at look identical.....Is it possable to do the whole conversion with out swaping the dash?

why would u need to swap the dash?? rom what i understand its a very hard and long process, replacing looms and such, and then working all the bugs out of the electrical, then u need a BCM and a few other things, if u go ahead good luc, but i probly wouldent bother.
