vy parts to fit vx

i own a vx commodore executive 2001 model and have been offered a vy executive that has been crashed. I am interested to know exactly what parts will fit from the vy onto my vx. The vy has no drivetrain so im only talking about interior parts.

im pretty sure everything is interchangable, dash can be done but i would assume it would be a pain.

i replace my parcel shelf in my Vy with one out of a wrecked VT. exactly the same.

I'm fairly sure everything except the dash. everything else is interchangeable.

CHEETR had a VY dash in his VT, so it can definitely be done. VY instrument cluster, however, is a different story.

why would it be a different story? if the dash fits the instument cluster is a part of that dash...

Because the VY instrument cluster uses a different interface to talk to the BCM than the VT/VX instrument cluster.

oh ok ... not really up to speed with electronic side of things... im sure you would be able to do it somehow...

If your VX is a series 1 put the VY rear end in it to help with the rear camber issues.
