    Default VT Air Intake

Hey guys someone told me bout taking the pipe from the entry to airbox to the radiator completely off and said it made more power to the point his clutch was slipping. I didnt think to ask at the time cos he said i should try on mine and jw, even if it did bring a little more power i dont see how exactly iyt could damage the clutch? He said he took it back to holden and they replaced the clutch..
Would there be any problem taking off the front intake pipe?
    Thanks

I'd imagine there'd be less restriction on the flow however when the engine/radiator heats up you'd be sucking in heat which cant be good.

It was a placebo effect. Your mate thought he had more power so he was revving it harder on take offs and finished off his clutch.

It'd be worse for power, dragging in hot air from the engine bay....which is the whole reason they made the intake to take air from above the radiator...
