Oxygen Sensor Resistance

Does anyone know if an oxygen sensor can be checked with a circuit tester.
Tried checking resistance between the two pins on the plug but get no reading.
Should I be getting some sort of reading by doing this and if so what are the allowable limits for a properly functioning sensor?

it will now be knaffed if you tested it with a multimeter go buy a new one

My RH oxygen sensor failed resulting in the 3 RHS spark plugs showing black.
Multimeter readings taken according to the manual did not seem to make sense to me so I swapped the RH sensor to the LHS & LH sensor to the RHS.
Immediately it was the 3 LHS plugs that were black proving that the oxygen sensor was faulty.
Problem was solved with a new sensor (over $110 then).
