That's where I put them also and I use a bit a bit of wood in between to prevent any damage.
For the rear I use the big bracket where the crossmember is bolted to the body, using a piece of timber again.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.

I'm gunna do a how to on this when I get around to it.
Already uploaded the pics onto photobucket, so will soon do a how to on jacking up and putting your car on stands.
Figured it would be a good starting point for those wanting to get into diy work on their car, but don't know where to start.
Will also be chucking up a setup of how i bleed my brakes for those interested.

Jazza that would be awesome, Ive been looking for something like that.
Also bleeding the brakes would be the same as bleeding the clutch? Maybe put up a how-to on bleeding the clutch too?
    Thanks mate

It's up in the How-to section now.
I will be improving it in the coming weeks, so it should become a good starting point for all you starting out DIYer's out there.
