tinting stock vx tail lights

Does anyone know anything about tinting the vx exec/acclaim stock tail lights? Basically i want black rear lights, but i dont like the look of any of the aftermarket lights, just wanna replace the red areas. could this be done the same/ similar to StreetWagons.com - View topic - DIY VX "SS" mod for lights ?

go to auto barn the have the tint stuff in a spray can just like spary paint only 4 ur light speciali made 4 it not to expensive either
i was goin to do the same thing wif my vt jsut the hole thing garnish and all one problim is u get drips so i would recomend takin the lights of 1st and doin it on a flat serfice not to think

yer go to autobahn its called night shades its about 10 bux. i just did mine the other day on my vy one light spray an they came up awsome! an i also sprayed a clear coat over them today to give it a bit of a gloss finish ill put up some pics tomoz
