after i painted my dash i realised i had to put a code in to the head unit to get it going again...
anybody know this code or do i have to to contact holden?
thanks
Yeah Holden will give you the code if you provide them your VIN I think.
yea its printed on a lil card often in with ur owners manual. if u dont have this you need to go to any holden dealership and give proof of vehicle ownership and the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), it may cost you to do so but surely not much.
if its too loud your too old
yeah i got my owners manual although last time i checked i couldnt find the code.
unless its printed somewhere, when i checked the audio section it says refer to a local dealer
it is printed on a card not inside the book. if the ute is second hand the previous owner may still have the card as it is advised not to keep the card inside the car as it defeats the purpose of the code.

yeh i had to pay $22 for the bit of paper for mine the other week

exactly right, your just gonna have to call up holden, whenever my mum needed the code for her vt we had to call holden, after the 2nd time we thought to write it down :P, the old owners must have kept the card.
I found my card in my owners manual, so if its not there, its likely the old owner kept it.
I'm in QLD. lol

yeh i looked all in the book theres no card that has it on it.
i suppose tomoro ill have to cruise over to holden
well today after i picked up my hardlid for the ute i drove past and popped into holden on scarboro beach road.
asked for my pin code and they just put some numbers into the computer and gave it free![]()
Nah... i used to avoid taking my car to holden like the plague...
In the time I had the VX i went to holden 4 times... once to get the radio code (free), again to get a little clip for the door under the headunit (couple bucks), needed the error codes cleared which cost 20 bucks and finally once to get a components diagram of a throttlebody.
And yeah... went in there with the car... had the VIN already jotted down and they looked it up on the system and told me there and then, no charge.
Good to hear you got it fro free too surfy31!
It was Mornington Holden btw.
local mechanic should be able to extract for you,did for me.
