remove inner door handles help

hi i want to paint my inside door handles in satin chrome but would like instructions in getting them off safely please.

1) Remove the little tab in the middle of the handle with a small screw driver.
2) Undo the screw in the middle.
3) work the door handle component away from the hook which attaches it to the door locking mechanism by pulling and pushing at the handle and your done. Should come off fairly easy.

yep what he said lol. pull the cap off, undo the screw behind it, then just pull the handle as if you would if you were trying to open the door, and it will just fall off
