radiator light sencer

hi everybody i have not long bought a 1999 gen3 vt 5.7ltr commodore & i must say wot a car but just today i noticed the low level radiator light on the dash come on and stayed on so i checked the level in the radiator & topped it up hoping it would turn the light of but it seems to be staying on can any body help me with this problem please please?? cheers

When you say you have filled the radiator I assume you mean the plastic filler tank which should be about half full when cold. If the level in the plastic tank is correct and the warning light is on I would say the sensors might be faulty.

hi thank you for replying i just went out and checked the coolant level senser and it is looking a bit dirty.Ill give it a wee clean and try again.thanks so much
