    Default vt senator signature manual

    Hi people,
Ended up doing the deal and traded the vr maloo mock up ute for this vt senator signature. was told by old owner that is was a 220 with the stroker motor, waiting on all the paperwork in regards to the motor specs. anyways happy with the car so far. Just needs to get some good wheels now and a lowering job. few little marks on the trim and dents small scratches on body will get some things fixed and possibly a respray down the road.
where is a good place to buy genuine badges from, the signature ones on pillar damages and one missing on boot.

    Default wheels

The wheels did not come with the car as his wife bought them for his b'day.
It has 18" chrome momo wheels on it but they are missing the centre caps.
Have to decide on rims and start saving for them now.

Try eBay for the badges. I replaced my S badge with a genuine one I bought off eBay and it looks great.

Car looks good mate! I thought you said it was "a little rough".... looks ok in the pics!! I have always been able to find badges on ebay, although there is a Commodore/HSV wreckers up in Berkeley Vale on the central coast called Lion Lovers. I know they sell a lot of stuff on ebay but they have some pretty good contacts at Holden and can get their hands on stuff nice and cheaply. Here are their details... 7/17 BON MACE CLOSE BERKELEY VALE NSW 2261 (02) 43884445.

Buy the badges from Holden, they will just ask for your VIN. Dont take them all though, i might need some lol

From memory, the senator badge is $42 and the Signature is $26

    Default little rough

Iain, The car is just covered in wash marks from the automated lazy wash machines, a few dints here and there and the drivers side skirts is cracked at the front from where the tyre guy put it up on the hoist.
The drivers seat has damage to the bolster on the top section from years of getting in and out. The gear knob leather is tattered around the badge at the top and all over the leather is a little dry and cracking in areas. Going to take to a trimmer soon to have it restored to original new condition, the car will be chopped and buffed next weekend and possibly have the skirt and roof painted, (bird dropping damage to roof) and then decide on some plates for the car.

    Default cleaning up starts

after a small operation on thursday, had some energy up today to start on cleaning up the senator.
started with giving it a good kero wash to strip off all the old polish and crap on the car. only now can you see all the small scratches and chips it has copped over its life.
left that area now for the professionals to buff and repair as much as we can on the paintwork side.
gave the carpets a good clean along with the leather. just applied some leather protection that we sell through work and some vinyl protection too. inside looks really great now just some spots of seats have some hard wear.
really have to get some nice wheels, the centre caps missing do not help either.

    Default weekends work

Well istarted saturday at 5am stripping some parts of the car prepairing to have it chopped and buffed, tinted and to make a start on the stereo.
After a weekend of work i am absolutely blown away at the transformation of a good buff to remove the not so deep scratches and bring up the shine to show off the green metallic and blue pearl effect of the paint. Unfortunately it also brings out all small dents and scratches and shows the age of the car, but short of the respray this is the best she will look for now.
I had some FUSION powerplant two ways for the rear doors and some powerplant splits of the same series for the front that i have fitted in the factory locals. For the moment the Maestro amped stock head unit is running them until my new pioneer AVIC HD3 turns up. Thinking of keeping the 8s in the shelf and replacing with a greater quality unit, or may just go all out with a full fibreglass boot install. I have got FUSION Jonah series subs of all sizes laying around and mono block, 4 channel amps to run setup.
Brother in law wanted a change of rims so swapped out my MOMO rims for his ROH 18's and i tell u what, they suit the new look of the car perfectly.
Here are some shots of the progress.

Those rims killed it. Stock (optional) 10 spokers would have done the trick.

Is it a 5 or 6 speed? Always wondered what the holden strokers in the VT range were fitted with.

My senator has a 5 speed behind it.
The rims were for free and got a set of VT GTS rims awaiting track tyres.
Would love to lower it a whole heap but already got dramas getting up driveway at home and work.
