good canvas mate
hey thanks
First thing im going to look at doing is the sound system and then possibly get some king super lowsI'm working at super cheap auto at the moment so i can get all kinds of stuff discounted
so i cant wait to get started on the car.
Anyone have any suggestion on mods i can do? I don't know much yet as I'm fairly new to the car scene
cheers matt
de-badge, lower her, wheels and colour code and shell look sweet!
so far my attempt at debadging has been a failureonly 2 of the 5 have actually worked
I used fishing line and metho which worked perfectly fine on the first two but the others are incredibly stubborn and im at a loss as to what to use...
excuse the dent happened last week, stupid person can't even open his own door properly. it looks fine from here but there is actually a black outline of the badge that will not budge.
This just wont come off, its rock solid and now its started to take the top gel coat off
And this also im not sure how to get that last bit off ive tried metho, eucalyptus oil andwhite spirits still wont come off...

ahhh first dint
i was shattered for a week after my first little 'door dint'... now im driving around with one side of the car pretty much destroyed... thats what happens after 3 years and a couple near write offsyou lose the passion haha
it looks great, theres something about the vt, theyre just sexy.. debadging looks good
great first car - and good to see no spoiler![]()
Nice car mate,
To get those bits of blue off, get some prepwash, put a little bit of it on a rag and rub it for a couple of minutes. Then you can probably peel it off with your fingernails or wash it off with a rag of some sort. Don't leave the prepwash on there too long though as it may damage your paint, so just give the areas a hose down after you've finished.
I hope the prepwash works because honestly its not gluey at all, its rock solid.
damn bad luck with the badge dude, maybe even try a hair dryer to heat it up a little too it might help soften the glue
nice ride mate, good price as well for the kms its done, great stock, hope u keep it up![]()
hey bro just an idea ive got a 2000 vt exec series II s i bought a 6" cannon from super cheap and got 2.5" straight thru exhaust total cost about 280 is cheap and makes a hell of a difference!! sound hot!
and they look much better with a factory spoiler too![]()
nice looking car bro ive just started working on my first car too.
been wanting to debadge mine for ages, sucks about yours tho kinda makes me want to put off doing it haha. anyways i hope it works out for ya
Some minor updates
Sound system should be going in by the end of this week as well as colour coding the stock executive bodykit and side mirrors. (photos will go up soon)
- Sony GT4880u headunit (already installed).
- 12" Kicker subwoofer
- Zx200.2 Kicker sub amplifier
- Cadence 6" speakers + tweeters & xovers for the front doors.
- el'cheapo Sony speakers from work for the rear doors.
Lastly im tossing up the option of waiting a little bit longer and lowering the car on either super-lows or ultra-lows or buying a 2.5" catback exhuast.
I realise lowering it will take longer because I need more things like the springs, shockers and camber kit, so im not sure what i should do first. Whats involved in lowering the car could i do any of it myself to save costs?
what do you fellas reckon?
cheers matt
haha mate this looks exactly like the car im probably going to buy of my old man :P
Some new photos + finally got around to getting a Berklee 2.5" catback exhaust sounds a lot better than stock!
