Hmm ok... Partially agree with punk ^^ but to each his own. I'm also a p plater and can't drive anything with a real engine, so I'm restricted to bodywork too. But I'm certainly not going to spend that much on it... Perhaps save, and put even more money into your engine when you can drive it?

I'm strangely attracted to that front bar - but only the bit between the headlights coupled with the hood... The lip reminds me of a particular dish of food. And the side skirts look like the weren't made to match the front and rear bars.

I think rice aside..$11,000 on just visual mods for a P-plater is just f***ing stupid..I will have no sympathy for you if someone scratches or damages your car and you can't afford insurance. Believe me, your car will be a target for people to do shit to..

As others have said, its up to you.....but if you ask me it sounds like its going to look like shit. If you complement those altezzas with a standard VT garnish and then dump the ass, it'll have everything I hate about people modifying VT/VX's all in the one car.

Good luck with the kit bud. A mate has one on his VR and it is one of the worst made kits, and he honestly wouldn't reccommend them to anyone. Takes a truck load of custom work to make it look any good, and it's extremely thin and flimsy. Having said that, if you really want to take the risk, your choice.

I find it quite funny that this thread is currently just a 'planned modifications list'.

Anyway. Your money, your choice, but in my opinion, your going to spend a truckload of cash on something that won't look good (if you like it then fine by me) and you'll get alot of turning heads and attention in a negative way (car theives, police, idiots etc). And finally, you'll be blowing a lot of money on something thats not really going to give you any return. If you want this car for the long run and you don't mind a V6, go for it. If it was me I would save all the money, learn to drive first, then buy a V8 when your off your P's.

I just want every1 to comment on some changes i could make, if something doesn't suit, or colors wont mix n match etc. Not really interested in being pummeled for having my own style.

As far as I'm concerned you can do what you like to your car, but don't just do something because it looks "different". Do something that you think looks good, after all you are going to have to look at it every day.

If you secretly actually like what you are planning to do, then just say it. Who cares what the other guys say? You aren't fooling anyone by saying you only want to do it because it's diffferent though

i think it would be an embarrassment to commodores in general.
and if i saw it on the street i wouldnt go, 'ohhh there a riced up commodore, that looks cool, cause its different', instead, i would almost piss in my own pants with laughter, whip out my camera, take a picture, and post it in the "Ricer of the Day" thread, for everyone else to have a laugh at.

Having something different isn't always a good thing.... eg. a 3rd nipple, a fibreglass flare kit, 11 fingers etc etc...

Ok, thanks guys, bit more of a response than i thought. Guess the planned mods are probably a bit distasteful, although i kinda was hunting for something unique. Im gunna lay off the bodykit after CruznCalais comments and a little bit of research from others. Just after spending my 4 years in the army (since 17) ive gotten out an though id get a new hobby, instead of destroying heads looks like ive turned to destroying cars. but in all honesty, not just from the comments, i think its all a little to far fetched after review. Im only a few grand short of an R8 but spending majority of my time in east tumor i haven't been able to get my greens then blacks... Although i tend to disgree with 99% of you on the altezza tail lights, i like em! Maybe just some nice 19's, 2" drop, HSV bodykit, memcal and the exhaust, keep it simple stupid? Let me know guys, thank for the comments though, from most of you.

P.S. Cant stand loud music hence no chance of a sound system...
