Hi guys, I not long ago brought a replacement for my destroyed VX commodore; I managed to pickup a nice Series One VT SS Commodore pretty cheap. It still needs a little work to get it looking well smick... But it has a SUNROOF so who cares
Things to come include series II taillights, possibly tinted. Clear indicators and projector headlights. The paint needs fixxing up in a few places, although nothing major. A new set of wheels. Coming next will be assorted engine work if I get that far!![]()
Car: Series 1 SS Commodore
Engine: Holden EFI 5ltr V8 - Aunger OTR Intake
Ehaust: Custom, twin 2.5" straight though with a resonator on the back.
Diff: Standard
Wheels: VT SS 17"
Suspension: Superlows in the arse, FE2 on the front.
Transmission: 4 Speed Auto
Stero: Pioneer Head Unit, full Rockford Fosgate setup to follow soon.
Future Mods: Series II taillights, and clear side indicators, projector headlights, fix up the paint work, 18" or 19" wheels, maybe some further engine tuning.

Thanks guys, it's a work in progress as most projects are...
I am toying with a few engine ideas, either a nice cam, and some flat tops or going the full 383ci hog!

Hey man, killer ride. What does the 304 go like in a VT? keen on gettin one, but not sure is it's worth jsut going for the very common 5.7. U prefer the 5litre by far, got such a better note to it.
The 304 goes quiet well, but it's a little underpowered when in comparison to it's bigger Gen III counterpart. That said a few mods such as upping the comp, a mild cam and a good tune (all of which are relatively cheap these days) and you've got yourself a killer engine with an awesome note to it. :-)

Nice car mate. Any changes since the original pics yet? I also echo NVMYVT, I want a sunroof dammit. Lol.
Cheers, no "real" changes just a few cosmetic ones; I have changed the tail lights to Series II (refer pic below), and now have white side indicators... Also replaced the whole ignition system, and cooling system due to a few issues around Christmas.lol. I'm hoping to get a set of Superlows before next weekend and drop it just that bit more :-)
Will give it a wash and update pics when I get a chance.

Guys, long awaited updated pic's!
I managed to get the Superlows in the rear today but ran out of sunlight to get the front's done. Initially I thought it wasn't going to be low enough but by the look of it the Lovels springs are just right.
Excuse the crappy pics, getting dark, plus camera phone plus dirty car, equals crappy pics!

Looks good mate! Well done.
nice, i like it, with the superlows only in the rear i reckon it makes the car sit alot more level.
how good is it having a sunroof![]()

Just changed out the springs, the rear shocks were replaced with some stiffer aftermarket FE2 shocks when I brought it.
The Lovells rear springs were at least 30mm to 40mm shorter then the stock FE2 springs. Accordingly I reckon it brought the arse down a good 30mm to 40mm or so.

Very nice!!! Not a huge fan of sunroofs but looks great on the VTs. Hope you're still planning to tint your lights would make a big difference to the overall look.
looks good lower, howd you go w/ the front end?
